This session explores how online shopping platforms like Temu and social media features such as achievements, streaks, and rewards systems are intentionally designed to manipulate behavior, encouraging addictive use and impulse spending.

Shaylynn will break down the psychological tricks used by these platforms, the mental health impacts, and the financial risks involved. Attendees will gain practical tips to recognize manipulation tactics, set boundaries, and stay in control in today’s digital world.
